The alert engine is a crucial component for alerting. It allows each data source to be associated with an alert engine cluster. The alert engine periodically synchronizes alert rules that are enabled and queries data from various time series databases to determine anomalies.
In the system configuration, the alert engine module allows you to view the current alert engine information.
Engine Cluster: Name of the alert engine.
Engine Instance: IP address information of the alert engine instance.
Data Source: Data source associated with the alert engine.
Last Heartbeat Time: Time of the last reported data from the alert engine.
Note: If alerts are not being sent correctly, check whether the data source is associated with the alert engine and whether the network communication with the alert engine is functioning properly.
